Prerequisites Installation
In the description below, the following prerequisites should be installed:
- github account to login to ProjectBuilder
- Java 14 or later
- Maven 3
- NodeJs with NPM (version 8.3.2) - NodeJS Install
- Docker (Version 20.10.8 or higher) and docker-compose (version 1.29.2)
- hint: if not using docker-compose scripts, mariaDB 10.6 is needed
Recommended:
- linux operating system
- Visual Studio Code
The installation steps are only described for Linux Mint or Ubuntu. If you are using another operating system, you have to adjust your installation on your own.
Workplace Installation on Ubuntu 20.4 / Linux Mint
Run the following commands on your shell:

# Install docker
apt-get remove docker docker-engine docker.io containerd runc
apt-get update
apt-get install \

apt-get install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io docker-compose
# Install Maven
apt install maven

Enable docker for your user:
sudo groupadd docker
sudo usermod -aG docker $USER
sudo chown root:docker /var/run/docker.sock
sudo chown -R root:docker /var/run/docker
sudo chmod g=x /var/run/docker
–> restart
